General Ballpark Rules and Regulations
  • Bags, backpacks and similar items are subject to reasonable search before they are allowed into the ballpark.
  • Weapons of any kind are not permitted in the ballpark.
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the ballpark. Empty water bottles are permitted.
  • Guests may not bring alcoholic beverages or controlled substances of any kind into the ballpark.
  • Fireworks, horns, whistles, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, laser pointers, ice chests, beverage or food containers and coolers of any kind are not permitted inside the ballpark.
  • Except for certified service dogs, pets/animals are not allowed in the ballpark except during designated “Bark in The Park” events.
  • Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere in the ballpark.
  • Thrown bats and thrown and batted balls leaving the field can be dangerous.  Please stay alert at all times.
  • Guests must present valid identification to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.  Sales of alcoholic beverages will stop immediately after the last out at the bottom of the seventh inning.
  • Please inform a Black Bears staff member if you need assistance arranging a ride home form the ballpark.
  • The Black Bears organization is committed to providing guests with an enjoyable, safe and family-friendly environment.  Disorderly conduct of any kind (including, but not limited to, inappropriate language, gestures and behavior, inappropriate displays of affection in a public setting, and any disruption of the game or disruption that impacts other fans’ ability to enjoy the game) will not be permitted anywhere in the ballpark.  Guests may be asked to leave the ballpark if their disorderly conduct does not stop after being asked to do so.
  • The Black Bears reserve the right to amend ballpark guidelines and policies for Black Bears games at any time.

A-to-Z Stadium Rules

Alcohol – Washington State liquor laws prohibit guests from bringing alcoholic beverages into Story Field. Only alcohol purchased and dispensed by authorized servers will be permitted on the premises. Guests appearing to be under the age of 30 will be required to show appropriate, valid identification. No guest will be served more than two alcoholic beverages at one time. Sales of alcohol on the concourse level will be cut off at the end of the 7th inning during baseball games and at designated times during other events.

Animals – Only certified service dogs are allowed into Story Field. All other animals are prohibited. The only exception to this rule is on special pet promotion days.

Bag Search – All bags are subject to search upon entry to the ballpark. Prohibited items should be disposed of in trash containers or returned to one’s vehicle.

Birthdays & Anniversaries – Let the Black Bears take care of all your needs. Please contact the Black Bears office (360) 703-3195.

Children – Children under three years of age do not need a ticket for entry into Story Field. However, they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. Children four years of age and older must have a ticket to the game.

Conduct – The Cowlitz Black Bears and its team members are committed to providing our guests with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene to support a family oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors:

° Foul or abusive language or gestures
° Intoxication or other signs of impairment
° Displays of affection not appropriate in a public, family setting
° Disruption of the game or an unauthorized individual on the playing field
° Guests seated in a location other than their ticketed seat

If someone interferes with your enjoyment of a game, please contact a Guest Services Representative for assistance.

Exit and Re-Entry – Guests may exit Story Field at any time. A guest may only re-enter after showing the Black Bears team member his or her ticket stub or hand stamp for that day.

First Aid – If first aid assistance is needed, please notify a Black Bears representative immediately.

Food – Outside food and beverage is strictly prohibited.

Foul Balls – Guests may keep any balls hit into the stands.

Gate Times And Entrance – There are two entrances into Story Field. The main entrance is located on the 3rd Base side of the ballpark. The second entrance is near home plate behind the visitor dugout. Both entrances open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each game.

Laser Pointers – The use of laser pointers is strictly prohibited at Story Field.

Lost and Found – Items found in or around the ballpark during events should be turned into the Box Office.

Mascot – The Black Bears mascot, Corby the Bear, is available for appearances at community and charitable events. Please contact our office at (360) 703-3195 for more information.

Merchandise – Official Black Bears Merchandise can be purchased on our website at www.cowlitzblackbears.com, at all Black Bears home games, or call the front office at (360) 703-3195.

Noisemakers – For the comfort and enjoyment of all of our guests, noisemakers of any type, including (but not limited to) air horns and cowbells, are prohibited at the ballpark.

Parking – Parking is free in the LCC lots surrounding Story Field.

Police and Security – For the safety of our guests, security is on site during most stadium events. If you have an emergency, please alert the nearest Guest Services Representative.

Prohibited Items – In the interest of fan safety and enjoyment, the Cowlitz Black Bears Baseball Club reserves the right to prevent certain items from entering the stadium. The following items are strictly prohibited from being brought into Story Field: Alcohol, Illegal drugs, Outside food & beverages, Ice chests or hard sided coolers, Fireworks, Bullhorns, Noisemakers, Animals (except certified service pets). Bicycles, Skateboards, Rollerblades, Squirt Guns, Laser pointers, Weapons of any kind. Cloth bags, soft packs, backpacks and baby bags ARE PERMITTED, but subject to search.

Restrooms – Stadium restrooms are located in left field next to the Party Deck.  In addition restrooms are located behind the first base dugout.

Smoking Policy – Story Field is a smoke-free facility. Smoking and chewing tobacco use is strictly prohibited.  LCC is a tobacco-free campus.

Tailgating – Tailgating, other than team-sponsored meals, prior to OR following Black Bears home games is not permitted.

Will Call – Guests may pick up Will Call tickets at the Story Field Box Office beginning 45 minutes prior to scheduled game time when gates open, or according to extended hours throughout the season. A valid photo ID is required of anyone picking up tickets at Will Call, and tickets will ONLY be released to the individual named on the envelope.
